Waterford Film Festival, 3-5 November 2017

Waterford Film Festival
Venue: Garter Lane Arts Centre

The Waterford Film Festival was established in 2007 by local filmmaker Stephen Byrne. With a goal of bringing something new to Waterford’s arts and cultural scene, he set about promoting local as well as national filmmakers and writers – with a particular focus on independent film.

Since the foundation of the festival, more than 500 films from filmmakers around the world have screened, and new writers have found a platform with the short screenplay competition.

Attendees have included filmmakers as well as fans from across Ireland, the UK, France, Germany, Holland and as far as Canada and the USA. With prizes in excess of €30,000 awarded in collaboration with FilmLab since 2007, there’s every reason for up-and-coming stars of the big screen to take part in the Waterford Film Festival, and if you’re a fan, that means exclusive first looks at some of the most exciting new movies being made.

Now is celebrating its 11th event this year at Garter Lane Arts Centre, this is a not-to-be-missed event in the pretty riverside town of Waterford.
