Waterford Country Fair – Sunday 11 June 2017
Enjoy the country life like a genteel member of the aristocracy for one day only in Portlaw, Co. Waterford.
The opulent Curraghmore House is home to one of Ireland’s most charming country fairs, a family-oriented day of good old-fashioned fun.
Country sports, like dressage and pony-club, gymkhana-style events, will be enjoyed alongside falconry and sheepdog trials. The country fair is also the go-to for qualifying events for the Royal Dublin Horse Show, so the quality of competitors will be assured.
Of course, it’s not all about games – there will be local craftmanship on show and artisan producers serving local delicacies from field, sky and sea.
You can try out some sports for yourself – fly fishing and archery will be on offer, or if you’re not feeling too sportsmanlike, you can step into the past by visiting a medieval village…just make sure you don’t lose track of time at this fabulous family feast of activity.
