The Lismore Music Festival 2016

01 – 06 June 2016 | Venue: Various venues in Lismore & along the Blackwater River Valley, Co. Waterford

Lismore Opera Festival takes place each year in the stunning, historic and magical surroundings of Lismore Castle and in great houses along the Blackwater River Valley in Ireland’s sunny South East. The festival will present an original production of Mozart’s comic masterpiece “Cosi fan tutte” at Lismore Castle this June; afternoon recitals in two of the Blackwater Valley’s finest country houses, Salterbridge House and Cappoquin House; and a concert in the historic St. Carthage’s Cathedral, Lismore. Set in the lush Blackwater River Valley, often referred to as the Irish Riviera, Lismore Castle is arguably Ireland’s prettiest castle and is surrounded by one of the country’s most romantic walled gardens.

Champagne picnics are available for purchase and leisurely sunset picnicking is encouraged before the performance and during the interval. The Lismore Opera Festival’s mission is to provide world-class original opera productions in a stunning location for people of all ages. There is no dress code for any performance
