Sláinte – The Story of Ireland, 17 July – Wednesday 27 December 2017

Sláinte – The Story of Ireland

Venue: The Reg Restaurant and Bar

Be more Irish than the Irish themselves at this fun and unique night in the heart of Ireland’s oldest city, with traditional music, storytelling, costume, and of course, the famous Sláinte Toasts.

Specially-commissioned music will be artfully blended with era-appropriate tunes to proclaim the 12 ancient stories toasted in this unique live event and to take you through the golden era of Celtic art and religion. Dress in your most medieval costume and assume the role of your favourite ancient Irish figure to really be part of the action.

On the very site of The Reg is the ancient Tower that marks where Viking King Ragnall (Reginald), son of Ivar, founded Waterford more than 1100 years ago. In this show, you’ll have your chance to raise your chalice to Ragnall and his men.

Toast the 12 ages of Waterford city in period style among the minstrels and storytellers who will bring this incredible event to life. The Sláinte Show takes place at the Reg every Monday and Wednesday evening of the year.

Adult €15 | Child €10
