Saint Patrick’s Day Parade | 17 March 2012


Venue: Waterford City

“Waterford City’s annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade will celebrate the city’s great history which is captured in the City’s motto ‘Urbs Intacta Manet’, Waterford remains untaken. A surprise Guest Grand Marshall will lead the parade’s 60 entries including internationally renowned street theatre company Spraoi. The parade will start at 1pm and follow its traditional route along the Quays and The Mall with a special disability viewing area located on The Mall.

Face painters, Irish Dancing and free tricolours will be available to keep the crowd entertained before the parade starts. There will be free entertainment after the parade with live music in John Roberts Square from 2-4pm along with the local Waterford City Market selling artisan food. Remember that Road Closures will be in place, so arrive early to avoid disappoinment!
