Music at the Museum – 13 & 27 April


Venue: Garden Room, Medieval Museum, Viking Triangle, Waterford City

Music at the Museum is a series of Sunday lunchtime concerts offering an affordable Sunday afternoon’s entertainment in Waterford’s Viking Triangle. The concert ticket is linked to a 10% discount on lunch at three nearby cafes/cafe bars and a guided tour of either The Bishop’s Palace or The Medieval Museum for just €2.
The intimate setting of The Garden Room plays host to performers from many genres including choral, contemporary folk, classical, jazz and traditional music. 2014 will see Madrigallery, New Dublin Voices, Jane O’Brien Moran and Orm Kenny, soprano Caroline Reid-O’Brien,Voci and Dulcet feature in the programme of events. Poet Mark Roper, composer Eric Sweeney and photographer Paddy Dwan come together for a very special concert in April based on Roper and Dwan’s recently published book The Back Strand.

The series, featuring many more performers yet to be announced, will run from late January to November offering one or two concerts per month. Tickets are priced at €7 or €5 concession and €16 per family of 2 adults and 2 children or €14 family concession.
