International Viking Festival and Roadshow

The spectacular International Viking Festival and Roadshow will travel all the way from Reykjavík in Iceland to bring the story of the Vikings to Waterford this Easter weekend.

The festival features a number of elements, from a comedic journey through Icelandic and Viking literary history, to recreations of the Viking town of Waterford featuring metal-working, archery, and hand-to-hand combat!

There will also storytelling sessions but the highlight will is a dramatic live show called Follow The Vikings which takes place twice on Easter Monday 2nd April in The Apple Market. It will features music, drumming, poetry, and creatures from Norse myths brought to life in front of a stunning video backdrop.
