Comeragh Bogtrot – 28 March 2015

Venue: Nire Valley, Ballymacarbry, Co. Waterford

Based in the village of Ballymacarbry the Comeragh Bogtrot is a challenge for people who are serious about their outdoor adventure sports, you can run or walk on one of three routes, two are self-navigated, 32km, and 21km, one is guided 17km. It is you against the mountain and all mother- nature can throw at you.

This event is a brilliant warm up event for the 2015 season of triathlons and mountain marathons as the mountain will challenge you physically and the self-guiding element will challenge you mentally. This event is for people who are regular hill walkers, and can self-navigate on the longer courses. But if you have the stamina but not the navigation skills join the 17km walk which will be lead by members of the local walking club. The Bogtrot is one of the longest running walking events in Ireland and is a well organised event.

The event ends in Ballymacarbry Community centre where we offer hot showers and refreshments upon your return and a chance for you to recount saga of heroism and endurance to your friends.

The four star self catering accommodation at Seacliff Holiday Homes, Dunmore East is the perfect location for all events within County Waterford.
